Many. Kickbacks are commonly seen, however, in the defense industry, particularly by subcontractors of the prime contractor, and in healthcare. These kickbacks may take the form of consumer goods, cash, or agreements to refer all future clients or patients. In one case, the subcontractor who subcontracted with another subcontractor received a lovely new set of dining room furniture for his home as a kickback.
